As I told and posted before, Howstuffworks is a web site works as learning organization or you can call learning site. In this web site you can learn from cell phones to stem cells. In this site you can learn stuff by reading or watching. The article or video in this web site produce by professional. Which mean professor or research institute etc...This site also has Encyclopedia and Map Reference. Also in this site you can review consumer product and compare the price of the produce. Moreover, you can look star-rating for hotels to spas and city guide to booking a trip. Basically this site about learning, sharing and entertain. And I am using the Power Point Slides to illustrate my point of view. This site is awarded by Former Vice President Al Gore as ``representing the very best of the Web.''

The presentation was good. It had a lot of information about the history of the site and the different features that howstuffworks is able to provide on their site. I can tell that you use the site often and I hope to use it one day as well. Keep up with the good work!

Hello Sutharshan,
I thought your presentation on HowStuffWorks was really interesting. It was interesting to learn about the various types of content on the site. Furthermore, it was interesting to learn that though the site provides a tremendous amount of information, it also has several disadvantages, such as certain types of information being too detailed.

cool presentation. your swirling slide effects made me feel like i was high. nevertheless, you got your point through. howstuffworks is a great site. i used to visit the site quite a bit when i needed to find information on something but now i just use wikipedia or i google it. they do have a lot of interesting weird articles on miscellaneous things. surprisingly, i do remember the site being better before 2002, before the site was bought and commercialized. now it has ads all over.
Hi Sutharshan,
Your presentation provided a lot of information about HowStuffWorks that I didn't know about. I never knew that there was a version for children, as well as one in Brazil. I also thought you did a great job detailing the positives and negatives to this site. One would think that a site like this is educational and helpful, but on the other hand, it can also place "revealing" content out there.

Interesting presentation, I am always interested in such sites, since they allow one to broaden his or her knowledge regarding many disciplines. I do agree with what you mentioned during your presentation, that certain information should not be so detailed when it comes to certain fields, but then again every creation, and thought that came from a human mind might be used for good as well as malicious intent.
Hello Shan,
I had absolutely no idea that HowStuffWorks was that big of a deal! I have used it in the past(with great results) but you managed to take the term analysis and step it up another notch. Very interesting expose on the history of the site and its great features. I particularily enjoyed the Mr. Brain blogs and comments. BTW your Powerpoint was superb! Elegant transitions and timing, lots of content and images to fill out the slide nicely. Looks like you really did your homework on this one!!! Thanks.

The presentation was very interesting. The powerpoint was good. You gave a lot of information about howstuffworks like the history of it, the express which is for kids and teachers, the list of contributers to the site and among other things. The site is definitely very useful since it has information just about on anything. Thanks for showing how the site works and the advantages of it.
the presentation was very insightful and is very interesting to see that you can get all this information on a site. probably way too much information but it is a very interesting site to look at. too much detail can be dangerous but then again you might get alot of informaton that will help. the presentation overall was good
